Post Guide + Inspiration

Feed Inspiration by @MustardMade

Feed Inspiration by Hungry Hipsters, who uses both the colour fading and model/flat lay alternation wonderfully!

Examples of post types that don’t include models - the possibilities are endless and definitely not limited to what I've drawn up here.

Customers love to feel included! These are just 9 of many photos we've been tagged in, we can always ask permission to post one of these on our feed!
Types Of Non-Model Photos
Row 1-3:
- Flat lays w/ room for text! Similar principal to regular flat lays but less busy with a big space for text - usually promotional in some way!
Row 4-6:
- Non-Flat-Lay pics! Using a clothing rack, corners of the home or going outdoors; Carmico in action but not on a person.
Row 7-9:
- Regular flat lays! Merch interspersed with on-theme goodies. A fun idea would be for our produce themed stuff, to lay it down with the stuff its inspired by, like the pumpkin beret on top of a bunch of pumpkins!

Reels/TikToks
Video Types:
- Behind The Scenes
- How Its Made
- Event Coverage
- Styling
- Lifestyle
- What’s In My Bag

an example of reels that do better than others: the BTS reel for Daybreak had 9.9k views while the Whats In My Bag reel for the Starscape Bag had 23k views.

I like to have reels show up in the feed, with a cover photo that fits the current visual theme.
I’m not the most knowledgable on Reels/Tiktoks, so I’m extremely open to trial and error and any new, fun ideas!
I’ve found a few trends in Reels/Tiktoks that do better than others;
- Styling does far better than more professional-looking BTS/Commercial type videos
- This isn’t to say we can’t make them, just to know what gets the most engagement!
- People want to be inspired! So videos where we go on picnics themed around our lines could inspire them to buy a product and go out on a themed picnic with their own friends! (As an example)
- I tend to not like cheesy, just mouthing to a sound videos for the business, the sounds tend to be passive aggressive and pandering
- People also like to understand the products in a fun + practical way (ie: what fits in a bag videos)

A fun, aesthetic flatlay combined with a functional video amounted to a very engaged post!

Stories
Creating story slides, both informative and interactive, in a way that doesn’t feel too corporate is almost an art in itself. Using the Motifs in the guide linked below, you’ll be using Canva to create these slides!

Slide Examples
Please note: Any dark gradient is from Instagram, not the actual design! There is almost never any gradients used.
BRAND FONT: Spartan (Extra Bold is the one I usually use)
Interaction
Make sure to tell Selina to engage with these!
- Leaving room for interactive instagram widgets (countdown, questions, polls etc) in the slides to be added on post.
- Story Events (Feature Friday, AMA Mondays, etc)
- BTS/Event Coverage on Stories
